Ministry plans new airport in Satun
The Transport Ministry is planning to develop a new airport in Satun province with the study to be completed in September next year, a source at the Airports Department said yesterday.
“This is part of the Southern Economic Corridor project, linking the southern region of Thailand with India, Sri Lanka, and China,” he said.
Meanwhile, the ministry will open bids for the development of two new airports in Trang and Nakhon Si Thammarat provinces, worth up to Bt4 billion, in November and December this year, he said.
