The Thai National Shippers’ Council has revised downward its forecast of the country’s export growth this year to between minus 3 per cent and minus 2.5 per cent, according to a council press statement on Tuesday (December 3).

The forecast is based on the assumption that the baht stays at around 33 per US dollar.
Exports in October shrank 4.5 per cent year on year to $20.75 billion (Bt627.1 billion), while imports contracted 7.6 per cent year on year to $20.25 billion, the statement added.
