Gold price holds steady in Wednesday trading

The price of gold remained almost unchanged at the close of trade on Wednesday (April 8), the Gold Traders Association reported.
As of 2.18pm, the buying price of gold bar stood at Bt25,200 per baht weight and the selling price at Bt25,400, while the buying price of gold ornaments was Bt24,741.12 and the selling price Bt25,900.
At close on Tuesday (April 7), the gold bar buying price stood at Bt25,100 and the selling price at Bt25,300, while the buying price of gold ornaments was Bt24,650.16 and the selling price was Bt25,800.
As of 5pm, gold contracts in COMEX to be delivered in June rose by US$4.30 or 0.26 per cent to $1,688.00 per ounce.
