As of 9.31am, the buying price of a gold bar was Bt25,700 per baht weight and selling price Bt25,900, while gold ornaments were priced at Bt25,241.40 and Bt26,400, respectively.
At Monday’s close (May 11), the buying price of a gold bar was Bt25,750 per baht weight and selling price Bt25,950, while gold ornaments were priced at Bt25,286.88 and Bt26,450, respectively.
The Gold Spot Index price this morning moved to around US$1,698 (Bt54,586) per ounce after the price dropped by $15.9 to $1,696 per ounce at close on Monday.
The gold price was pressured by a strengthening dollar, while investors were monitoring the US-China trade situation and easing of lockdown measures in a number of countries.
Meanwhile, the gold price in Hong Kong dropped by HK$80 to $15,670 (Bt64,996) per tael.
