Oil and gas conglomerate PTT Plc and the Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand (Egat) signed an agreement today (May 12) to conduct a joint study on exploring the opportunity to develop a Liquefied Natural Gas Receiving Facilities project in the South.

The facilities are aimed at ensuring energy security in that region.
PTT chief executive officer Chansin Treenuchagron said both organisations will capitalise on their energy management expertise to develop and ensure the national energy security is in line with the Energy Ministry’s policy.
