The ministry believes the Thai economy has bottomed out since the second quarter this year and would recover next year, he said on the opening day of a three-day seminar, "Thailand Focus 2020", hosted by the Stock Exchange of Thailand.
He added that Thailand was one of the few countries that could effectively control the Covid-19 outbreak.
He said that investors and the people should feel confident the government would be able to revive economic growth.
The government will accerelate state agencies' budget spending, especially on infrastructure projects. The ministry would also continue to launch new measures to revive the tourism sector, which was suffering the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic outbreak, he added.
He said the government had given top priority to boosting the country's competitiveness through supporting the private industrial sector to adopt technologies to enhance operations.
