Thai Airways International Plc said it expects to begin delivering passengers’ delayed baggage by Monday afternoon (September 28, 2026), after heavy rain and flooding disrupted ground operations at Suvarnabhumi Airport.
The airline said the weather conditions had affected baggage sorting and delivery processes, causing delays over the previous two days.
Thai Airways has deployed additional personnel during that period to increase handling capacity and accelerate efforts to clear the backlog.
Passengers whose baggage was delayed over the past two days and who have already registered their details with the airline should begin receiving their luggage during Monday afternoon.
Passengers wishing to collect their baggage themselves can contact the baggage services office on Level 2, in front of the domestic arrivals exit, between 6.30am and 11.30pm.
The contact numbers are 0-2134-5373–74.
Passengers who registered their baggage details through the airline’s QR code can check their status using the following numbers:
Thai Airways said staff would contact passengers by telephone or email to confirm their information before arranging baggage delivery.
The airline apologised for the inconvenience and said it was continuing to work through the remaining delayed baggage as quickly as possible.
Thai Airways also coordinated with the military to request GMC trucks to help transport employees who had been unable to reach work because of flooding.
The additional transport support was intended to bring staff back to Suvarnabhumi and help restore ground-handling operations as the airline worked to clear the baggage backlog.
