Asian shares opened mixed on Monday after global markets found some stability as Europe plans bolder measures to tackle debt crisis.
The Nikkei fell 0.1 per cent to 8,554.76.The broader Topix slipped 0.1 per cent to 744.22.
The S&P/ASX 200 index rose 1.3 per cent to 3,952.4. New Zealand's benchmark NZX 50 index slipped 0.2 per cent.
Korea Composite Stock Price Index added 0.4 per cent to 1,704.1.
