TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 29, 2011

Matubhum Party leader Gen Sonthi Boonyaratglin said Tuesday that he and another MP of his party abstained during a no-confidence vote Monday for the sake of political neutrality.

Sonthi said he and his party’s MP did not join the Democrat to vote against the censure target, Justice Minister Pracha Promnok, because both sides had their reasons.
Sonthi said his party would continue to work with the Rak Santi and Rak Prathethai parties as an opposition bloc although they have not voted in the same way.
The Rak Prathetthai of Chuwit Kamolvisit voted against Pracha while Rak Santi of Purachai Piumsombun abstained.
