Kittirat said the NEB has made a decision to increase the price step by step and the Cabinet has approved the NEB’s decision so the Cabinet’s resolution must be honored.
He said the government could not make an about-face over the price increase just because truck drivers and taxi drivers stage protests against the increase.
He said even the prime minister must comply to the Cabinet resolution but if the government wants to cancel the increase, the NEB must first reconsider the issue.
Kittirat said it was not right for truck drivers and taxi drivers to block road to cause hardship to the people to pressure the government to comply with their demand.
He said the public should condemn the protesters for causing hardship to the public.
