Yuthasak supports compensation increase for security forces in deep South

Defence Minister Yuthasak Sasiprapha Friday voiced support for the idea of adjusting the compensation for security forces in the violence-plagued South.

Yuthasak also suggested that surviving family members of the 87 victims killed in the Tak Bai incident in 2004 should be entitled to the same compensation payments as those involved in the 2005-2010 political disturbances.
“I think those victims in Tak Bai should be compensated because they were killed without any justification,” he said.
