NBTC delays approvals for draft master plans Commissioners need more time to study spectrum plan

The National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission board Wednesday declined to approve the revised drafts of three industry master plans, citing the need to review the spectrum-management draft.

NBTC secretary-general Takorn Tantasit said the board acknowledged the drafts of the spectrum-management, telecom and broadcasting master plans but did not approve them, as the 11 commissioners decided they needed more time to study the spectrum plan.
The board will hold a special meeting next Wednesday on the spectrum draft, when it is expected to approve all three drafts, he added.
