Whitney Houston was found face down in a bath of scalding water

Los Angeles - The singer Whitney Houston was found face downin "extremely hot" water, according to the final coroner's reportinto her death released Wednesday.

 

The 41-page document confirmed the preliminary report releasedMarch 23 that the singer died from accidental drowning combined withthe effects of heart disease and cocaine use.
 
The final verdict of the Los Angeles County coroner added that thesinger's personal assistant found her face down under more than 30centimetres of water and had burns on her body.
 
It also said a white crystalline powder was found in a spoon andon a mirror in the hotel room. The coroner did not test the powder,saying that was the responsibility of the police.
 
Houston was found dead February 11 in her suite at the BeverlyHilton Hotel in Beverly Hills, California, on the eve of the GrammyAwards.
 
While cocaine was found to have contributed to her death, numerousother drugs were also found in her body - including marijuana, Xanaxand Benadryl - but did not contribute to her death, the coroner said.//DPA
