Pheu Thai MPs demand Democrat MP's outster

FRIDAY, APRIL 20, 2012

A group of 10 Pheu Thai MPs Friday called for the exit of Democrat MP Nutt Bantadtan, accusing him of misconduct after he had used his smartphone to view a girlie picture during the charter amendment debate on Wednesday.

“The news photograph depicting Nutt’s inappropriate conduct has been circulated around the world, bringing shame on Thai Parliament,” Pheu Thai spokesman Prompong Nopparit said.
Prompong said Nutt’s supporter Chirmsak Pinthong, was wrong in trying to defend the miscoundut as an acceptable way to relax amid the debate.
“If Nutt wanted to relax, then he should be doing this at home and not at the legislative chamber,” he said.
He called on the Office of Ombudsman to look into whether Nutt had violated the ethical code.
