Parliament approves government's draft to require CDA election in 90 days

MPs and senators voted Monday to approve the last article of the charter amendment bill to require members of the Constitution Drafting Assembly to be elected within 90 days after the bill is enacted.

The parliamentarians voted 340 to 101 to approve the version of the coalition-dominated vetting panel to require the CDA to be elected within 90 days. Five parliamentarians abstained and two others were present but did not cast any type of vote.
