The move stems from a meeting in Japan on March 7 between Japanese Prime Minister Yoshihiko Noda and Thai Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra, according to an announcement by the Japanese Embassy in Thailand.
“We hope that implementation of the new multiple-entry visa will increase the number of Thai visitors to Japan, enhance business convenience and strengthen cooperation between both countries,” it said.
