Jaran had presided over the morning session but decided to exit the inqurity during the lunch break.
Wasan said the remaining eight justices, including himself, would carry on the inquiry to completion.
At the start of the morning session, defence counsel Chusak Sirinil submitted a transcription of Jaran’s recorded interview when he was a charter writer for the 2007 Constitution. The high court accepted the transcription as additional defence evidence.
Wasan said Jaran viewed his past remarks as impacting on how he would form a conclusion on the inquiry since the disputing parties could read his thoughts as revealed by the interview.
Commenting on the matter, Chusak said he did not intend to force Jaran out of the inquiry.
