Suphat’s son on October 8 had shown the doctor’s open letter in front of Phetchaburi Prison. The letter accused Sawang of being a subordinate of Suphat’s brother Suthep Laohawatthana. The letter also accused Sawang of being involved in criminal cases. Sawang said this had led others to think negatively about him. Sawang rejected the allegations as false. He said he had never known Suthep before the search for the missing couple’s bodies, and Suthep only talked to him about the search. He admitted that Suphat had helped his daughter to get a job at the Police General Hospital.
Police investigators will summon Sawang for additional testimony on Tuesday and then interview Suphat in prison before concluding the case for court.
