Wall St ends down

U.S. stocks closed lower across the board in sluggish trading as investors remained cautious over fiscal cliff discussions in Washington.
Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 13.82 points, or 0.11 per cent to 12,951.78.
S&P 500 erased 2.41 points, or 0.17 per cent at 1,407.05.
Among key S&P sectors, health care held small gains, while consumer discretionaryand techs dropped.
Nasdaq composite slid 5.51 points, or 0.18 per cent at 2,996.69.
