Suthep files lawsuit against DSI chief

Democrat Party's key member Suthep Thaugsuban Thursday lodged a defamation lawsuit against the chief of the Department of Special Investigation (DSI) in response to several accusations against him.
The latest accusation from Tharit Pengdit suggested that Suthep, while serving as a deputy prime minister, had been involved in bidding collusion relating to the auction of the construction of new police stations and new police flats.
“Tharit has held several conferences to mislead the public. He has spoken as if I issued a corrupt order to favour a certain company,” Suthep said at the Parliament House Thursday.
He was speaking after he lodged a complaint against Tharit with the Criminal Court.
