PTT retail business to help cut down energy consumption

A number of 663 PTT fuel stations which are open around the clock will join the national energy-saving campaign.

During April 5-14, these stations located along highways and major roads are instructed to turn on only necessary lights, according to PTT executive Saran Rangkasiri.
Meanwhile, the service hours of the remaining 700 stations would be shortened by 1-2 hour, to cut down power consumption.
Gas supply from Yadana field in Myanmar will be shut down for annual maintenance during the period, affecting the electricity generating in Thailand. The government has launched the energy-saving campaign, to ensure that power reserves during the period are kept at a reasonable level.
