Korkaew released on bail

The Criminal Court Friday allowed Pheu Thai MP and red-shirt leader Korkaew Pikulthong to be temporarily released on ground that he has shown remorse about breaking his bail conditions.
The court also reasoned that Korkaew has been detained for 37 days after the court revoked his bail on November 30, which was severe enough for his violation of the bail conditions.
The court was pleased with Korkaew’s explanation in the previous hearing that he could not apologise to the Constitutional Court judges because he was defending himself in a lawsuit that he did not intimidate the judges as alleged.
The court set bail conditions that Korkaew must not participate in any demonstration and must refrain from giving interviews to damage other people or other institutions’ reputation.
