Five missing at sea

So far, six of the 11 crew members of a Bangladeshi cargo ship that capsized in the Andaman Sea who were still missing yesterday afternoon have been rescued.

Five were lifted by a vessel called MV Bux Moon, which was headed for Chittagong, while the sixth person was rescued by the Thai Navy yesterday afternoon. He was identified as 40-year-old Abubakkar Siddique. As of press time, the Navy was continuing its hunting for the remaining five.
MV Hope, which was heading for the Bangladeshi port of Chittagong, capsized in rough seas some 32 kilometres off an island near Phuket yesterday morning. A Navy helicopter immediately rescued 18 members of the crew, but the 11 others “drifted out of sight in a lifeboat”.
