U.S. stocks closed lower as Dow, S&amp;P retreat from highs; investors digested latest 
	batch of corporate earnings, while stronger-than-expected results from Apple Inc. helped limit 
	losses on Nasdaq composite.

	Dow Jones fell 25.50 points to 15,542.24, while&nbsp; S&amp;P 500 dropped 6.45 points to 1,685.94. 
	However, Nasdaq gained 0.33 points at 3,579.60.
