Kampala (dpa) - Mustafa Adrisi, one of former Ugandan dictator Idi Amin's closest and most feared associates, died Sunday after a long illness, news reports said.

Adrisi, a general who served as vice president from 1977 to 1978 during Amin's eight-year rule, died in Uganda's main government hospital in Kampala, the Voice of Africa-Uganda radio reported.
The 91-year-old was admitted to the hospital two weeks ago with hypertension, diabetes and a fracture in his right leg, the state-owned newpaper New Vision said. No cause of death had been
established, it said.
