U.S. stocks closed up&nbsp;for a third straight&nbsp;session overnight as investors digested&nbsp;economic reports and ahead of U.S. monthly jobs report.

	Dow Jones Industrial Average&nbsp;gained&nbsp;6.61 points to end&nbsp;at 14,937.48.

	S&amp;P 500 added&nbsp;2 points at 1,655.08. Among key S&amp;P sectors, financial stocks&nbsp;gained, while telecoms and utilities shares fell.
