School milk in Roi Et seized

Health authorities at Roi Et's Selaphum district yesterday seized 20,000 cartons of milk meant for schoolchildren after parents complained it was "substandard". Test results should be released in a week.

If the milk is found to be substandard, the authorities will fine the manufacturer that has been supplying the milk in question to schools in the Muang and Selaphum districts, Dr Manit Thaweehan, chief of the Roi Et Public Health Office’s Consumer Protection and Pharmacy division, said.
The move follows a parent’s complaint that schoolchildren received spoiled milk from school on October 1.
