Govt bans protest leader from joining reform forum

The government would not allow the leader of People's Army against the Thaksin Regime to join a political reform forum, former prime minister Banharn Silapa-archa said Wednesday.

The People’s Army is holding a protest against the government outside the Government House.
Banharn, the Chat Thai Pattana Party leader chief adviser, disclosed the information during the meeting of the National Reform Council’s sub-committee on political issues.
Banharn was answering Bhichai Rattakul, former Democrat Party leader, who said during the meeting of sub-committee that the government should invite Chai Suwannaphap, People's Army leader, to attend the meeting. But Banharn dismissed the recommendation immediately.
