The People’s Army is holding a protest against the government outside the Government House.
Banharn, the Chat Thai Pattana Party leader chief adviser, disclosed the information during the meeting of the National Reform Council’s sub-committee on political issues.
Banharn was answering Bhichai Rattakul, former Democrat Party leader, who said during the meeting of sub-committee that the government should invite Chai Suwannaphap, People's Army leader, to attend the meeting. But Banharn dismissed the recommendation immediately.
Bhichai said Chai’s invitation would show that the government is sincere in political reform.
“If we allow them to participate in this forum, we would not end the meeting at 6-7 pm. Let us invite them to join the next step, not today.” Banharn said.
The meeting of the council’s sub-committee on political issues began at 2.30 pm after a special cabinet meeting has decided to invoke the Internal Security Act (ISA) in three districts of Bangkok from Wednesday day until October 18.
