39 people killed in floods so far: disaster mitigation department

Thirty-nine people have so far been killed in floods that have hit 42 provinces since September 17, the Disaster Prevention and Mitigation Department said Friday.
Chatchai Promlert, the director-general of the department, said floods had so far affected 3.5 million people from 1.03 million families in 14,782 villages in 304 districts of the 42 provinces.
Of the 42 province, the floods have already subsided in 14 provinces, Chatchai said.
