Anti-Corruption Organisation opposed to amnesty bill

The Anti-Corruption Organisation of Thailand (ACT) has stepped forward to oppose granting blanket amnesty related to the political mayhem.

This latest development came as the Pheu Thai Party’s panel of strategists Monday agreed that the ruling party should make it a party resolution to back blanket amnesty, as has been proposed by the House committee vetting the government-proposed amnesty bill.
“The revised Article 3 for amnesty granted to graft offence will spawn a false value that cheating is not wrong,” organisation chairman Pramon Sutivong said Monday.
