Sangiam said Suthep’s rally speech could be construed as an instigation to mobilise the masses to overthrow the government.
He said he was collecting evidence before filing additional charges against rally speakers and Democrat-led protest organisers.
Suspects detained, charged

Chanchai Phamul, 44, was stopped at Nang Lerng intersection and charged for riding a motorcycle under the influence of an intoxicative inhalant. Theeraphon Pankhao, 36, was charged for possession of kratom leaf, a controlled substance.
We will overcome, says minister
Rally organiser Suthep Thaugsuban set this month as the deadline to declare victory because he was pinning his hopes on a convergence of several events, Interior Minister Charupong Ruangsuwan said yesterday.
But the government is prepared to overcome its adversaries, he said, voicing optimism about the administration’s survival.
In Suthep’s view, the government may face adverse implications from the Constitutional Court’s ruling on charter amendment, which is set for next Wednesday, he said.
Moreover, the opposition is poised to launch a censure debate by the final week of November. However, the relevant Cabinet members have braced for rebutting the opposition’s attacks, he insisted.
Furthermore, the Pheu Thai Party and the red shirts will work in concert to “explain” the situation to the public, Charupong said.
