Songkhla Cabinet meeting security to be assessed

Security agencies will conduct a security assessment before the mobile Cabinet meeting in Songkhla - seen as an opposition stronghold - on November 29-30.

“Going to Songkhla at this juncture is stressful,” National Security Council adviser Paradorn Pattantabut said yesterday, in reference to anti-government activities.
Paradorn said it would not be unusual should the meeting be postponed.
The Songkhla meeting would be the third one organised in the South by the government. The previous two took place in Phuket and Samui.
