Suu Kyi, 68, will arrive in Sydney on November 26, where she will meet Myanmar families and visit the Sydney Opera House. She is then due to travel to the capital Canberra, where she has scheduled meetings with Prime Minister Tony Abbott and Foreign Minister Julie Bishop, her National League for Democracy party said in a statement.
She will return to Myanmar on December 2.
It will be Suu Kyi's first visit to Australia since she was freed from house arrest in 2010. She has travelled extensively over the past two years, including tours of Europe, the United States and India.
Suu Kyi has made clear that she wishes to become president after the 2015 general elections in Myanmar.
The current charter forbids a Myanmar national who is or was married to a foreigner from becoming president, and cites military service as one of the prerequisites for the job.//DPA
