Thammasat rector urges PM to dissolve House

Thammasat University Rector Somkit Lertpaithoon Tuesday urged Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra to dissolve the House to reduce the political temperature.

Somkit said House dissolution could prevent violence that would ensue in four or five months.
The rector said the government should send out a signal that the administration would keep peace.
“What the government has done so far did not indicate that the government would bring about peace. The government only enforced the laws. Law enforcement is a good measure but the law enforcement does not help much in the current situation,” Somkit said.
