Thailand still shows growth in tourism

The tourism industry in the second two months of the year still witnessed growth of 10 per cent from the same period last year, despite political chaos, said Tourism and Sports Minister Somsak Pureesrisak.
In the weekly PM's TV programme, he said in the first 10 months, the growth rate was 20 per cent.
He said the Transport Ministry has lent cooperation in ensuring travel safety for tourists.
He also hopes that festive campaigns later this month should boost the industry.
