The CMPO has told banks to lift the freeze on accounts held by 39 leaders of the PDRC and three businesses, Department of Special Investigation chief Tarit Pengdith said yesterday.
Tarit said the ‘freeze’ was lifted on these accounts after an order by the Civil Court that the CMPO could not to enforce an emergency decree against peaceful rallies by the PDRC. He said the lifting of the freeze was reported to CMPO director Chalerm Yoobamrung during a meeting yesterday.
The 39 PDRC leaders who had accounts they can use again included Dr Seree Wongmontha, Tarit said. Businesses that were allowed to resume transactions at their accounts include the Krua Rajdamnoen (Rajdamnoen Kitchen), whose account was for gathering public donations for PDRC activities.
