Govt in dark about martial law: Chaturon

Caretaker Education Minister Chaturon Chaisang Tuesday complained that the Army chief has never consulted or informed the caretaker government about his plan to declare martial law.
Posting a message on his Facebook wall, Chaturon said the government has not been officially informed of the decision “so I don’t know the true reasons and goals of the martial law declaration except what stated in reports”.
Chaturon said he doubted whether there were enough reasons to announce martial law nationwide because most provinces do not have turmoil or riot.
He said the martial law would not be able to solve the political conflicts either.
