New charter should be short: Parinya

Thammasat University vice rector Parinya Thewanarumitkul Sunday proposed that the new charter should be short and drafted with input from the people.
He reasoned that a charter with too many details would lead to different interpretations that would have to be settled in the charter court.
He added that the new charter should also be written under a democratic atmosphere with people’s input so that it would be accepted by the public.
