The civil lawsuit was filed by Gamma Capital Fund against clinic owner Dr Thep Vechavisit and his wife Kamolrat.
Previously, the Appeals Court had also upheld a lower court’s ruling for them to pay Bt11.2 million plus 3 per cent annual interest calculated since December 1997 until full payment is made in addition to Bt20,000 for lawyer’s fees. Failure to pay would result in a Nonthaburi plot owned by the defendant and this building to be foreclosed.
After yesterday’s verdict, Thep said he accepted the ruling and would repay his debt.
