Adm Narong echoes Air Force chief on the new premier
Junta chief Gen Prayuth Chanocha is suitable to serve as premier because he has the capabilities to administer the country.
Many sections of society agree with the idea of having Prayuth as the new premier, Navy Commander in Chief Admiral Narong Pipattanasai said.
However the junta chief has never discussed the matter with military leaders.
Yesterday, Air Force chief chief ACM Prajin Juntong backed Prayuth as the new prime minister, saying the junta supremo had shown he could run the country competently since the coup two months ago.
There would be no problem if Prayuth stays on as chief of the National Council for Peace and Order while serving as the premier, said Prajin, a deputy NCPO chief.
