NCPO appoints final selection panel for NRC

The NRC selection committees have nominated the candidates.

The committee comprises General Tanasak Patimapragorn, General Surasak Kanjanarat, General Udomdej Sitabutr, Admiral Narong Pipatanasai, ACM Prajin Juntong, General Jiradej Mokkhasmit, General Chatchai Sarikallaya, General Paiboon Koomchaya, General Worapong Sanganet, Admiral Chumnum Ajwong, Admiral Jakchai Poocharoenyos, ACM Sritpong Komutanont, Pol General Watcharapol Prasarnrajkit and General Uthit Sunthorn.

The committee will choose one member from each province from the candidates nominated by the selection committees and the remainder of the members will come from the candidates nominated by non-profit organisations for 11 sectors and shortlisted by the selection committees.

The Election Commission is expected to provide the NCPO with the list of candidates for 27 provinces today and the rest by Monday, EC secretary-general Puchong Nutrawong said yesterday.

“The envelopes will be sealed to keep the information confidential as required by the NCPO,” he said in reference to the list. 

“The EC cannot open the envelopes. All envelopes will be forwarded to the NCPO immediately.”
