Gen Withawat selected new ombudsman, replacing Pornpetch

Gen Withawat Rachatanan, former deputy permanent secretary for Defence Ministry, was Friday selected as a new ombudsman, replacing Pornpetch Wichitcholchai who has resigned after he was elected the president of the National Legislative Assembly.
Withawat was selected with four votes from the six-member selection panel. His selection has yet to be approved by the NLA.
