Police seek to arrest two more over KMITL embezzlement

The Police Crime Suppression Department (CSD) applied for warrants from a court late yesterday to arrest two more suspects with bank accounts that allegedly received some of the Bt1.6 billion stolen from King Mongkut's Institute of Technology Lat Krabang

The two were identified as Sompong Sahapornudomkarn – father of Jariwat, who has already been arrested – and Janjira Sopradit, daughter of suspect Sombat Sopradit, who remains at large.
Sompang’s account allegedly received Bt44 million while Janjira’s account got Bt40 million, CSD deputy chief Pol Colonel Nos Sawetlek said.
Nos said investigators summoned commercial-bank employees early yesterday for additional details about related money transactions to back the warrant requests.
