Chinese, Myanmar help sought to arrest fugitive drug traders

Chinese and Myanmar authorities have been urged to help arrest 10 fugitive drug traders believed to be in hiding in those countries, Justice Minister Paiboon Koomchaya said.

He said that the seven men and three women were “important drug dealers” wanted by the authorities for their involvement in mostly methamphetamine or yaba dealing.
Arrest warrants have been issued for the seven, who are believed to be trafficking drugs in the border areas between Thailand and Myanmar. Some of the fugitives are believed to have escaped to China.
Permpong Chaovalit, secretary-general of the Office of the Narcotics Control Board, identified the wanted drug dealers as Chaiwat Pornsakulpaisan (aka Lt-Colonel Yi Se); Prayuth Hongsakam; Fong Pathumanee; Sudket Sakpanjakhan; Pairat Danchutimapanit (aka Pracha Buathet); Jaimoon Thaomalla; Yongsilp Saema; Suchada Thuaipa; Sampao Danchutimapanit; and Veera Muenjada.
