Human rights commissioner urges Prayut to enforce emergency decree

Nirand Pithakwatchara, a commissioner of the National Human Rights Commission, Sunday urged Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha to enforce the emergency decree instead of invoking Article 44 of the interim charter when the martial law is lifted.
Nirand said Article 44 would give too universal power to Prayut in his capacity as the junta chief.
