Transport to address ICAO's concerns

The Transport Ministry is hosting an urgent press conference at 3pm today, regarding the International Civil Aviation Organisation's safety concerns.

Voradech Hanprasert, acting permanent secretary, will conduct the press conference. He was the director-general of the Civil Aviation Department in 2012.
Japan's recent refusal to allow the entry of chartered and new scheduled flights from Thailand is considered a reaction to ICAO's concerns, sparking concerns among the Thai authorities. The decision affects flights by a number of airlines operating from Thailand, from Thai Airways International to AirAsiaX.
