Russian tourist beaten to death in Pattaya

A Russian tourist reportedly succumbed to injuries on Friday night at a hotel in Chon Buri's Bang Lamung district, an informed source reported yesterday.
The 39-year-old Filonov Pavel was found seriously injured and unconscious at about 9.30pm in front of the Pattaya hotel room, which he had rented for about a month.
The man was later pronounced dead at Muang Pattaya Hospital.
Police said the tourist was assaulted so badly that his spleen had ruptured and he was bleeding severely in the stomach.
Police was investigating the case and checking the hotel’s security camera footage for clues.
