The report concerning provincial administrative organisations (PAO)’s budget spending and management had been subject for a study conducted by the NLA’s committee on economics, monetary affairs and finance before being put forward to the NLA for acknowledgement yesterday.
The 130-page report suggested solutions to existing problems of the PAOs, which included non-parallel working timelines between budget proposals development and introductions o local development plans, delayed budget distributions, redundancy of PAOs, inappropriate construction plans and inefficiency in budget collection.
The NLA also endorsed a closed-door meeting report suggesting the nomination of the Public Sector Anti-Corruption Commission members. The NLA whip finished reviewing it before tabling at the NLA meeting yesterday.
