DSI returns Bt10m Mercedes to Malaysians

The Department of Special Investigation (DSI) yesterday returned a Bt10-million Mercedes-Benz to Malaysian authorities after the S350-model car was found to have been stolen and smuggled into Thailand, then given a licence plate from a locally reassembled

Fauzi Khan Ismail, a counsellor at the Malaysian Embassy in Bangkok, collected the car on behalf of the former owner from DSI investigator Pol Lt-Colonel Korrawat Panprapakorn. Korrawat said this car was stolen from a Malaysian company in mid-2013, then smuggled with a false declaration as an S550 in October that year.
